The Swing States Road Show
The Swing States Road Show played its last show at the Heathcote Community back in September.
We’re appearing as LEA JONES & FRIENDS at Towson Unitarian Friday Concerts on January 8, 2010. Lineup includes me, Judith Geller, John Seay, and Seth Kibel. We’re debuting a two vocal/one woodwind ‘vocal trio’ concept. Should be schwingin’.

Featuring Lea on vocals & guitar, vocalists Judith Geller and Stuart Rodes, and introducing John Seay on bass, guitar, and vocals, the new Swing States Road Show performs ’songs of peace love and understanding from Bob Wills to Bob Marley’… Our set list includes songs from the civil rights era, the anti-apartheid movement, Phil Ochs, Holly Near, the Dead, Jimmy Cliff, and originals by Lea.
The original Swing States Road Show — an acoustic swing ensemble dedicated primarily to protesting stuff that happened earlier this century — was founded in 2003 by Lea. Read about it here.
The new ROAD SHOW has performed at Baltimore’s CREATIVE ALLIANCE, 8×10, CATS EYE PUB, ABELL STREET FAIR, KENNILWORTH MALL INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL, BREATHE BOOKS, at DC’s BUSBOYS AND POETS and on DC’s NATIONAL MALL.
